The medium
The paintings are done in gouache, an opaque watercolor. Support
is extra-heavy illustration board. No fixative is applied to
the finished pieces. |
Reference photos
To assist me in producing the best possible portrait for you,
good reference photos are important. Generally, I insist on a
minimum level of clarity and resolution, as well as a decent
pose (not always easy, I know). This can require real effort
on the part of the purchaser, and is always worth it. Having
said this, if, through circumstance, a potential customer desires
to memorialize a deceased pet but posesses less than ideal reference
material for the job, a compromise can occassionally be worked
out. This type of situation is assessed on a case by case basis. |
Payment
Once a commission is agreed upon, a deposit of half the final
price is required before work begins. Prices are in U.S. dollars.
Payment can be made thru PayPal. The balance of the price is
due before final shipping of the portrait. |
